When looking for a custom builder, our goal was to find a builder that was experienced, paid attention to details, delivered on commitments, and responsive. To say that Gallup Design Build exceed our expectations would be an understatement.
Experience - Based upon a recommendation, we interviewed RB and Dick Gallup and quickly realized that they not only had experience, but also extreme passion for their work. This same experience guided us while we were selecting the lot, designing the home, and throughout the build process.
Attention to Detail - This was even more important because we lived remotely and could only visit the site every few months. RB was involved in the details, was on site, knew each of the contractors working on the house, and kept the quality build process on track. He was not only engaged in the flawless execution, but also provided great feedback on our thoughts/ideas that helped lead to a spectacular home.
Delivered on Commitments - As expected, challenges occur in any process and we were amazed by how RB gracefully viewed them as opportunities to be overcome (who would have thought COVID would have occurred?). The build was completed on time, within budget, and exceeded expectations on quality.
Responsive - Candidly, more than a few folks we interviewed initially, struggled with responsiveness. RB and team exceeded every expectation in this category. I cannot count the number of late night calls, weekend visits, or calls from me saying "I was thinking about ....". We looked forward to the daily updates and photos on the builder site which were hugely important to us as we were out of state.

Gallup Design Build truly turned our dreams into our perfect dream home. They provided a full service experience from the first consultation with Dick Gallup Sr. Who transformed my napkin drawings into reality. We visited home built by Gallup Design Build for a first hand customer review and saw the results up close. Every step was made easier as we were building in SC from NJ. The project manager RB Gallup sent detailed reports and photos of progress weekly and financial reports every month. The interior designer set up appointments with vendors for lighting, interior flooring, painting contractors, cabinets etc. Gallup Design Build work with custom carpenters to build our specific requirements for mantels, customized closets and design elements. Work was done to the timeline they promised. They worked with the budget provided and made every effort to source the best materials. When we requested materials not available in the South they worked with us to help obtain, deliver and install special stonework. This was the first home we ever built and Gallup Design Build made the whole process work so effortlessly that I would not hesitate to recommend them with the upmost confidence.

It is our distinct pleasure to recommend Gallup Design & Build organization for any custom home construction. We were able to "downsize" from a five bedroom home to a three bedroom home and include many of the features we loved in the former home. The original plans were adjusted to accommodate our wishes. The sub-contractors were easy to work with, the various vendors were helpful in our fixture selection and the interior decorator guided us in making good choices.
